to my house down in
the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
I write fiction and nonfiction. My new book,
Smoky Mountain Tales, Volume I,
has just been published.
This is a book of true and tall tales about life in the
Great
Smoky Mountains — how it was, and how it is. Within these pages, you
will meet a throng of colorful characters.
Many of the tales deal with the timeless, universal human dilemmas.
There are also pourquoi tales — old legends that attempt to explain why
certain events happened —
some sad, some humorous.
There are vivid images, reflection, adventure, even enchantment and bits of
magic.
Most of the tales are illustrated with real photographs.
